Ranni Link: the phone joins the fleet
The computers were never the hard part.
The phone was.
It was the one machine that only worked when a hand held it.
Not anymore. 📱
An Android app and our own relay.
Built in a week, in 5 build jobs.
It runs on a normal Android phone. Nothing is rooted.
No vendor SDK. No device admin.
5 build jobs, 1 week
1 QR scan. One key per device.
1 line out, 0 lines in.
1 allowlist — apps not on it do not exist.
3 lease states: IDLE, RANNI, HUMAN.
1 touch takes the phone back. Noted, not fought.
Pairing is one QR scan. One Ed25519 key per device.
The phone dials out to our relay. One connection. Nothing comes in.
An accessibility service reads the screen and acts on it.
Only allowlisted apps can be driven. 11 today, including Shopee, Grab, bTaskee and Maps. Apps not on the list do not exist to her.
A lease has three states: IDLE, RANNI, HUMAN. It says who is in control. When HUMAN, Ranni does not act.
When Ranni drives, the phone says so. A banner reads “Ranni is starting an errand on this phone”.
One touch pauses her. “You have the screen.” Her next step waits.
Every real-world action goes through an approval card. Far taps it.
Every action lands in a hash-chained audit log. History cannot quietly change.
Ownership is an app lease. Remove the app and it is gone.
Drove on Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi went off. Kept driving on 5G.
Shopee: a cart opened, edited and emptied, end to end. Nothing paid. Far kept the last tap.
bTaskee: an errand carried on after the screen lock.
A screenshot at every step.
The fleet has driven Far’s computers for months. The phone was the last machine that only worked when a hand held it. Ranni Link ends that.
Farrari Labs now reaches the pocket.
Pair it, and the phone stops being a second life to maintain.
And it stays Far’s phone. The lease says so. One touch proves it.
Android works. iPhone was explored and is parked. The next notes cover more phone tasks.
